Cristina Golfieri

Cristina is a Personalized Health Manager at the University of Basel, where she leads initiatives within Personalized Health Basel (PHB), a joint effort of the University of Basel, University Hospital Basel, and University Children’s Hospital Basel. Since 2017, she has contributed to the advancement of interdisciplinary research and collaboration in personalized health, first as a Research Coordinator and now in a managerial role.

Before moving to Basel, Cristina was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Dresden. She earned her PhD in Molecular Oncology at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, following a degree in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Padua, Italy.

With a strong scientific background and extensive experience in managing complex projects, Cristina and the PHB team play a key role in driving innovation, data-driven research, and clinical translation in the Basel region to advance healthcare for the benefit of patients, science, and society.
