Prof. Dr. Stefan Heinemann is an expert in AI and digital technologies focusing on economic, ethical and technological perspectives. He works across public and private sectors in industries dealing with complex structures requiring change and sustainable resilience. He is Professor of Business Ethics at FOM University of Applied Sciences, member of the Ethics Committee at the Medical Faculty of University of Duisburg-Essen, AI Compliance Officer (TÜV), and spokesperson of the Ethics Ellipse Smart Hospital at Universitymedicine Essen. As a founding member and board member of the German Association for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, he heads the research group “Ethics of the Digital Health Economy & Medicine” at the ifgs Institute. The philosopher and theologian serves on numerous scientific advisory boards in healthcare and digital transformation, chairs “Science City Essen,” and co-initiated www.dataprotection-landscape.com as a platform for data protection’s multidimensional aspects.
